Conferences

The conferences listed here are some of the major conferences in the field of Composition and Rhetoric. The links do not reflect current deadlines and calls for papers (CFPs). Follow the links to the websites for these conferences. Most of the sites listed have current information about conference dates and deadlines for current CFPs. One of the best ways to receive current CFPs is to subscribe to the English Calls for Papers listserv administered by the University of Pennsylvania. To subscribe to the list, visit their webpage. You will find instructions for how subscribe or can view current and past CFPs on their website.

Online Writing Labs (OWLs)

Many if not most colleges and universities now have Writing Center’s or Writing Labs. While we would recommend KU students visit the Writing Center here at Kutztown for assistance on their papers, the Writing Centers and Labs listed below have handouts and suggestions for writing academic papers that may be useful. Thanks to Dr. Linda Cullum, Director of the Writing Center, KU will have its own OWL debuting in the fall of 2005!
